His Kingdom in Our hands

By Andy Piggott, 12 November 2013

The Kingdom of God.  That means it is God's Kingdom.  He has ownership.  But the stunning and remarkable point I want to share in this article is, although it's His Kingdom, it's in YOUR hands!

Daniel 7:21-22, "I kept looking, and that horn was waging war with the saints and overpowering them until the Ancient of Days came and judgment was passed in favor of the saints of the Highest One, and the time arrived when the saints took possession of the kingdom."

When you take the time to read through the context here you know the horn waging war with the saints is speaking of demonic power.  And this horn of demonic power is out-muscling the saints of God.  I hope you've figured out in your theology by now that if you're a born-again believer, then God calls you, "a saint!"

So we have the demon powers overpowering the saints until..... Praise God for the "UNTIL!" The until, puts this into a point-in-time reference.  Now all we have to do is figure out if the "UNTIL" is past, present or future.  In other words, has the "until" come and been so that the saints are no longer overpowered by the demons, or are we still waiting for that moment in time to come to pass, and therefore still under demon power?

".... UNTIL, (1) the Ancient of Days came and (2) judgment was passed in favour of the saints of the Highest One, and (3) the time arrived when the saints took possession of the Kingdom".

Have these 3 specific time reference points been fulfilled?

(1) "Until the Ancient of Days came."  Well, I'm reminded of scriptures like this, "In Christ dwelt all the fullness of the Godhead bodily", "I and my Father are One".  "If you have seen me, you have seen the Father", "God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto Himself", "His name shall be Emmanuel, our God is with us"....

So has the Ancient of Days come?  YES!  Yes of course He has.  He came in the person of Christ 2000 years ago!

So 1 of the 3 conditions is met.  We are one thirds of the way to discovering the devil's power is broken over the saints.

We'll go through the next 2 in my next article.  Until then, live powerfully.
